Németország lassan, de biztosan továbblép a világbajnokság által előidézett kollektív eufórián. A fekete-piros-sárga zászlótenger, a résztvevő csapatok körüli érdeklődés és a német válogatott váratlan teljesítménye négy hétig szinte teljesen hatása alatt tartotta az országot. Pedig történtek más események is a világbajnokság alatt, melyek ennek elmúltával egyre inkább az érdeklődés középpontjába tolódnak, melyek maradandónak tűnnek, melyek tartósabbak lehetnek, mint a zászlók lengetése, vagy a fekete-piros-arany arcfestékek minőséget megőrző időtartama. Ha esetleg valakit, mint e sorok íróját, nem igazán tud lázba hozni a futball, vagy az olyan tömegrendezvények, mint pl. egy labdarúgó világbajnokság, akkor ezeknek a „margós” történeteknek valóban nagyobb jelentőséget tulajdonít.
